New Year’s Eve Outfit Ideas

It’s almost hard to believe but 2016 is only a few days away! Last week I shared a few outfit ideas for your Christmas celebration. Now we get to really have fun! There are no rules for your New Year’s Eve outfits. Sequins, all black, bright red, it’s all good. Listed below are some of my favorite trends for the night’s festivities.

Sequins!

I’m not talking about your grandmother’s sequins. I’m talking trendy, shiny, gold, black, silver sequins that pop! My favorite sequin trend is for the bold and daring only, the sequin pant. I love this look and only wish I had the long legs to pull it off. When wearing sequins there are however a few things to keep in mind. Head to toe sequin, no no no! This look never looks good on anyone. While I love the jumpsuit trend you will look like a mermaid in a onesie. Don’t do it. And never mix sequins with lace, it screams church choir.

A bold lip.

I have to admit that while I don’t wear lipstick (lipgloss please!) I love seeing someone pull of a deep bold lip. All of my makeup friends are crushing on the Kat Von D line, and while I’ve never tried it, NYE is the perfect time to experiment.

All Black Everything.

You’re probably starting to sense a trend with me. I love black. NYE is the perfect time to pull out your LBD, stiletto heels and favorite clutch.

All white.

I know, no white after Labor Day. Didn’t we just say that NYE was for breaking all the rules. I love nothing more than to see a bright spot of white in a see of all black and gold at a NYE party. White is so refreshing and can symbolize a fresh start. Do it!!

What are you wearing out this NYE? I plan to be in my jammies watching the ball drop #preggoproblems, so tag me in your NYE outfit selfies!

Until next time, happy planning!
