2014 has been an amazing year for us here at Lauren O Events. After months of hard work and late nights we launched our new brand and relocated the business to a fancy new location in Farmington.

As if that wasn’t enough, allow me to introduce our latest project:

This project has been on our hearts for some time. While planning my own wedding I longed for education and information from trusted wedding professionals. I went to so many bridal shows and would leave disappointed and overwhelmed. Once I began planning weddings for a living I decided it was time to offer an alternative to the bridal show. So, we created one!

Wifey for Life will be a series of workshops that will cover every component of wedding planning from curating your theme to choosing the right linen. Each session is presented in a classroom setting where Connecticut’s premier vendors can educate brides from all over Connecticut about the different facets of wedding planning. Enrolled brides will also be treated to bubbly, yummy food, and a special gift. 

This is going to be a bridal experience like none other! 

The workshops will be intimate – mini sessions are limited to 25 brides, workshops are limited to 50 brides. Limiting the number of enrollees allows you to have one on one time with vendors, build relationships with other brides and absorb the information being presented. By meeting vendors in a relaxed, non bridal show atmosphere you will be able to listen to advice, ask questions and leave feeling prepared to tackle your wedding to do list. 

There is no obligation to book any of the featured vendors and you will not be sold anything during the workshop. This is a purely fun and educational experience!!

Save The Date!!

Our very first workshop will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2014. Lesley Massey of SUGARPLUMS Invitations & Design will be presenting on save the date and invitations timelines, etiquette and design. SUGARPLUMS is an award winning design studio based in Plainville, Connecticut. Lesley has an obsession for paper, a soft spot for printing, an intense drive to bring vision into light combined with life experience as an artist. She is the perfect person to present and educate brides on the process of selecting and designing your wedding paper goods.
